Previous meetings of PMSEIC

Following is a list of all past meetings of the Prime Minister's Science, Engineering and Innovation Council. On each meeting's page you will find a summary of the meeting as well as links to related reports, associated presentations and media releases.

  • Twenty-seventh PMSEIC Meeting - 21 June 2013
    This meeting focussed on recommendations prepared by the Office of the Chief Scientist in response to two ACOLA reports (Engineering Energy: Unconventional Gas Production and STEM: Country Comparisons), as well as discussing the progress of the Science, Technology Engineering and Mathematics strategy. A paper on antibiotic resistance was also presented.
  • Twenty-sixth PMSEIC Meeting - 16 April 2013
    Progress reports on two ACOLA reports (Engineering Energy: Unconventional Gas Production and STEM: Country Comparisons) were presented, as well as a case for a National Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics strategy.
  • Twenty-fifth PMSEIC Meeting - 13 December 2012
    The main focus of this meeting was a discussion about breakthrough actions that the Australian government could take to enhance innovation as well as a process for setting national research priorities.
  • Twenty-fourth PMSEIC Meeting - 9 July 2012
    The main focus of the meeting was a discussion on the future of Australia's science, technology and innovation, with particular emphasis on preparing science graduates for the business sector and the importance of international collaboration.
  • Twenty-third PMSEIC Meeting - 30 March 2012
    This meeting discussed the Health of Australian Science Report and PMSEIC's future work program
  • Twenty-Second PMSEIC meeting – 4 February 2011
    This meeting discussed the following reports: Challenges at Energy-Water-Carbon Intersections and Food Security in a Changing World
  • Twenty-First PMSEIC Meeting - 18 March 2010
    This meeting presented the following report: Transforming Learning and the Transmission of Knowledge.

  • Nineteenth PMSEIC Meeting - 9 October 2008
